Judy Delaforce, Chief Executive of
BP&E Global, heads our Board development services and specialises in Board
evaluations as well as coaching and mentoring Board members.
With over 20 years at various City
institutions, including Barclays and Fidelity Investments , Judy has been
praised by our clients for her “insightfulness, common-sense and empirical
approach”, with many praising her ability to bring “a different perspective to
Board evaluations than previously experienced with other external providers”.
During her time at Barclays, Judy ran a
national consumer facing innovation project and was regional Hon. Sec. for the
Institute of Bankers. At Fidelity Investments she was PEP Manager and a founder
member of PEPMA. After a spell as a Senior Product Development Manager, Judy
headed Media Relations for Fidelity International - spearheading several
At IMRO, Judy headed the public affairs,
media and events areas, designed the first regulatory website and started consumer
roadshows, in addition to training over 200 staff on crisis handling. She also
advised firms on Board related regulatory announcements. At the FSA, she ran Communications
focusing on both internal and external communications and the integration of various
disciplines from previous regulatory bodies, reporting to the Chair, Executive
and Board. In 2000 Judy became a consultant to the industry and FSA.
Judy is an Alumnus of Ashridge Business
School, a Member of the European Corporate Governance Institute, a former Member
of the Leadership 21C diversity working party, and a Member of the European
Mentoring & Coaching Council. Judy's background includes NLP Business
Master Practitioner and Coach, and various business psychology disciplines. She
is also a regular contributor of Board related articles to the Institute of
Chartered Accountants Finance and Management Magazine, Thomson Reuters, for
both Accelus, Complinet for senior compliance professionals and Complinet HR,
where her articles are frequently in the Top 20 most read. She also writes for
the Institute for Turnaround.

Judy combined rigour and thoroughness with informality, valuably getting members of the Board and the Executive to relax both in meetings which she observed and in one-to-one interviews. She also established a positive relationship with the Chairman and Chief Executive of the Financial Conduct Authority, who oversee our Service and took an interest in the review; this was particularly helpful in concentrating their minds on key issues of concern to them.
