Julia Hillman has 17 years' experience within the UK financial services sector across Investment firms, Banks, Insurers, Consumer Credit Firms and FTSE 100 organisations where financial regulation is not its core business.
Having worked at Securities and Futures Authority, Financial Services Authority, Prudential Regulation Authority and most recently as Head of Authorisation Function for the Bank of England, Julia's regulatory experience covers Supervision, Enforcement and Authorisations as well as many key change programmes including CRD4, Liquidity, Solvency II, Barriers to Entry and Structural Reform.
Alongside a significant operational leadership role, Julia has worked on key change programmes and sat as a decision maker on many internal regulatory decision Boards. Julia's grasp and understanding of regulatory requirements is broad and deep spanning many regulatory failures and crisis.
Julia has experience of individual and team development at all levels in an organisation. She is an accredited Facet5 Principal Consultant, accredited workplace mediator (ongoing) and The Right Conversation Team Diagnostic accredited practitioner. Julia has an infectious passion for helping individuals, teams and organisations to thrive, with a unique ability to balance the need to challenge and encourage individuals and teams to reach their full potential and improve overall performance.
Julia has worked with many complex, multi-sector teams and individuals from Investment Firms, NHS, Accounting and Insurance Firms, Police Services, Design Agencies and multinational organisations across Europe. Julia's understanding of human behaviour and her healthy dose of pragmatism gives her the gravitas to create lasting foundations for change - supporting organisations, teams and individuals with creative yet practical solutions embedded with the 'human factor' at all times.
